Dr Who : time to get rid of David Tennant
At the risk of being branded a heretic, be honest - aren't you just a little tired of Tennant?
Yes, he's been the best-ever Dr Who (although Chris Eccleston ran him damn close).
And yes, I'll be tuning in on New Year's Day to watch The End Of Time unfold.
But I could have done without the Wall-to-Wall Davidmas.
He was on QI (where he was quiet but amusing at times).
He was on Never Mind The Buzzcocks (where he was funny).
He was on BBC breakfast (by the numbers).
He was reading CBeebies Christmas stories (missed that one).
He was on the BBC Christmas station ident (genius!)
He was on Catherine Tate's Nan Christmas specials (predictable)
He's on Alan Carr's chat show (not seen that one yet)
He's on three radio shows including Desert Island Discs (what's a radio?)
He was in Hamlet (good but not as breathtaking as the stage production)
And, oh yes, he was in something called Dr Who.
Speaking of the latter, am I the only person to think that it didn't live up to the hype?
I hated the epic voiceover, the golden oldies in the bus and the Exorcist head-spinning.
Thank God for Bernard Cribbins, whose coffee shot chat with the Doctor stole the show!
Get rid of Tennant now. Send him on holiday.
