What The Doctor did next...

The soon-to-be-former Dr Who David Tennant is set to journey across the Atlantic for his next starring role.

He has reportedly signed up to a new pilot of a legal series being developed by NBC in the States.

British talent are the flavour of the month over in Yankyland at the moment after the success Hugh Laurie continues to enjoy in House.

The show is called Rex Is Not Your Lawyer, and it's a comedy drama about a litigator who suffers panic attacks.

What's the twist - well Tennant has to coach clients so that they can represent themselves in the court room.

Sounds suitably wacky, but let's not judge a book by its cover.
