It's the date you've been waiting for.

Cancel everything.

Lost season six will premiere at 9pm on February 2 in the States.

There'll be a three-hour event, including an hour-long recap of what's happened on the island so far.

No date for the UK screening has been announced yet, but primetime Wednesday seems a good bet.

That would mean just a 24-hour gap in which to avoid spoilers.

In other Lost news, it's believed that the Lost season five DVD and Blu-ray packaging will have hieroglyphics hidden within the cover art.

Decipher them and they'll offer additional clues to the nature of season six.

The DVDs are due out on December 8, so make sure your local Egyptologist is on call!
