Hype surrounding Smallville's two-hour Justice Society TV movie is starting to ramp up.

The Ausiello Files have got their hands on two new images from the special.

First off we have our first look at Doctor Fate and Stargirl, while it appears Green Arrow and Hawkman don't get along...

The Lost team has always said that horror supremo Stephen King is a huge influence.

And now King has repaid the favour in his new book Under The Dome.

Think back to series 2 when Ben was a prisoner down the hatch.

He asked John Locke if there was any Stephen King to read.

Then, in series 3, Juliet's book club was reading Carrie by Stephen King when the plane came down.

Now King has name-checked the series in his latest best-seller.

In talks about 'The Hunted Ones' which he writes is a "a clever sequel to Lost".

Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, are "beyond happy" we are told.

Dawn Treader.jpg

Here's the first picture of the Dawn Treader.

She's the good ship that sails through the action in the third Narnia adventure Voyage Of The Dawn Treader.

On deck is Georgie Henley as Lucy Pevensie. Yes, she's still annoying as ever ...

True Blood = filth

By Steve Wollaston on Nov 28, 09 10:06 PM

I attempted to watch True Blood the other night.

Where there is hype there is usually a reason.

Not sure there is here.

First thing that struck me was that it had the 'V Man' Vinny who used to be incredibly annoying in Home And Away when I was a teen.

It also seemed to have a lot of sex in. Not that I am prudish.

The most noticeable account was when a woman was visiting a graveyard at midnight.

As you do.

A moss covered man/thing emerged from the ground and scared her half to death.

She then proceeded to not ask him to wash but to ravish him.

He then did his business with her before biting her neck thus turning her into the undead.

Odd.

Why would she not ask him to wash?

I won't watch again.

No it's not a shameless exercise in search engine optimisation.

Our pals over at the Zap 2 blog have combined the sunshine island world of Lost with the shadowy forests of Twilight.

Take a look here and see what you think!

Get ready for answers early when Lost returns in February.

Producer Damon Lindelof says that they'll be tying up loose ends right from the first episode of the final series run.

But the ending isn't quite in sight just yet.

"We've written 112 episodes, with about nine more to go," says Lindelof.

"We have come this far, so we're just trying not to screw it up.

"We really want the focus in the last year to be on the original castaways that we have been following since the beginning.

FORMER Doctor Who star Christopher Eccleston is to star as music legend John Lennon in a biopic set during the turbulent demise of The Beatles.

Lennon Naked covers the period from 1967 to 1971 when tensions within the band reached a peak and the star slipped into hard drug use.

Eccleston has already begun filming the 90-minute drama for BBC4. At 45, the actor is a good 18 years older than the real Lennon would have been in 1967 and five years older than the musician at the time of his death in 1980.

The A-Z of Twilight

By Steve Wollaston on Nov 25, 09 12:02 PM

Spotted this on the Daily Mirror website. I am thinking it was probably written by a teenage girl.

This is the Mirror's A-Z of Twilight...

Apparitions: Whenever Bella is in danger she catches glimpses of Edward.

Buff boys: It's not just Taylor and RPattz making us swoon. Kellan Lutz, Jackson Rathbone and Alex Meraz are all hot too

Cliff diving: The hunky Quileute tribe jump off the cliff for kicks but when Bella does - it's not quite as pretty.

Dream sequences: He may have disappeared but fans will still get their much-needed Edward Cullen fix thanks to Bella's dreams. Woohoo

Edward: Our romantic hero's name was inspired by "Edward Fairfax Rochester" from classic Charlotte Bronte novel Jane Eyre.

Forks: The real-life town boasts its own Bella Burger served in popular local eaterie Sully's - complete with plastic fangs

Growling: Those werewolves are seriously vocal

Flash in the pan?

flash_forward_5.jpg"Hello. Is that my agent? I may have a gap coming up in my schedule."

ABC have reportedly called a time out on FlashForward but maintain they are not pulling the plug, even though ratings are plummeting and the exec producer Marc Guggenheim has jumped ship.

They claim the six day break was built into the schedule to give the writers a chance to rest their creative brains and keep quality standards high.

Every little helps but it is worrying sign that, right from the start, they didn't feel confident that they could sustain the torpor, sorry, tension across an entire series without taking a comfort break.

Perhaps they've already had their own flashforward and seen the future of the series is looking about as healthy as Noh's.

New Moon may have broken box-office records when it opened at the weekend - but star Tayor Lautner had his doubts about the latest offering from the Twilight franchise.

Apparently, Lautner told werewolf co-star Alex Meraz a few weeks ago that he thought Twilight fans would just keep re-watching the original rather than come and see the latest installment.

Talking to US entertainment website Hollyscoop at the American Music Awards at the weekend, Meraz said: "Me and Taylor Lautner were eating and talking about it.

"We were like 'We don't know if its going to be this big,' just because we knew Twilight fans watched it over and over again. So we're like, 'I don't know if they're gonna do that again.' To see these numbers I am like cool, we're alright."
