Star Wars: Eco-friendly before it's time

Star Wars has won just about every accolade under the sun and is widely recognised as one of the greatest films of all time.

But one thing Anorak City can reveal is that it also had a social consience and was a proud advocate for environmentalism long before such things became a mainstream concern

Examine the facts. Star Wars has a garbage monster.

Yep the Empire evil as they were not only had a garbage compactor they also had a garbage monster.

Somehow the garbage monster managed to stay uncrushed like all the garbage as pointed out here which is odd in itself.

BUT the most impressive thing I think is that Darth and buddies decided that dumping all their Stormtrooper's garbage out of the window into the vast and infinite galactic surroundings was not an option.

Is there some Green Galactic Policing Unit that would have made even the Emperor think twice?

No, we think he was just a tad misunderstood and was actually just a flaky hippy with even flakier skin.

Good on the evil Empire we say!

The trash monster is called a diagona and it boards ships in its smaller stages and lives in garbage chutes where it can find food.

That's a nice tidbit for people to know. Too bad we don't have that in real life to solve our garbage problems.
