New Dr Who logo unveiled
Here it is - the new Dr Who logo!
Three Doctor Who specials are scheduled before the new series is aired, with the current Doctor, David Tennant, handing over his sonic screwdriver to the latest reincarnation of the Time Lord at Christmas.
As previously announced, the new Doctor Who will be played by 26 year-old Matt Smith and Karen Gillan, 21, is to star as the Doctor's assistant, Amy Pond.
