R2-D2: Projection Alarm Clock

It says a lot about me that I got very excited when this arrived on my desk last week.

I am a geek, more importantly I am a Star Wars geek, and for Star Wars Geek this is just brilliant.

A perfect mini-replication of everyone's favourite droid, it makes all of the right noises quite literally and is the perfect addition to any geek's bedroom.

The sounds are actually great, not the usual tin-pot attempts at R2-D2, these are genuine and sound fantastic.

So what does R2-D2 do apart from beep, tweet and sit on your bedside table? Well he projects. Not videos of Princess Leiah saying 'Help Me Obi Wan' guaranteed, instead it projects the time onto the wall or ceiling.

A truly excellent gadget of the week, the force is strong in this one.

This is the droid you are looking for! (Sorry)

Buy it at www.firebox.com
