Jason Isaacs on the role of Lucius Malfoy in next Harry Potter films

Jason Isaacs' ice-cold steely stare has won him legions of Harry Potter fans who love his turn as the boy wizard's nemesis, Lucius Malfoy - a role in which he famously gets to don what he likes to call his blonde "Paris Hilton wig".
Isaacs will hang up his Hilton wig and say goodbye to the Malfoy dynasty for the last time after the two closing films. This will include a farewell to his fictional son, Draco Malfoy, played by Tom Felton, who has - ironically - become firm friends with Potter actor, Daniel Radcliffe, in real life.
"I find it unbearable, I'm absolutely dreading it," he says. "I'm such a sentimental old fool that even though I don't finish shooting until April, I already feel like they're playing 'Leaving On A Jet Plane' in my ear."
Jason couldn't be happier to be making a return for the final two instalments.
"One of the lovely things about these two films is Lucius has gone from the most evil man in the series to being utterly humiliated and emasculated by Lord Voldemort. He's reduced to little more than the man who rushes around with a dishcloth clearing up the spills. It's nice to have that kind of journey as a character and see him get the comeuppance he so richly deserves."
Comparing the return to set to "visiting a relative you love" his startling blue eyes light up as he says, "I go into work and a lot of the actors who I absolutely adore and worship and am in awe of are sitting around on those canvas chairs with me swapping showbiz stories and I just sit and soak it all up."
