ER medic Noah Wyle stars in new Spielberg sci-fi series
DASHING doc Noah Wyle, out of his scrubs after the end of hospital drama ER, is set to star in a new sci-fi series.
The 38 year-old actor, who played Dr John Carter in the long-running show, will now battle alien invaders.
He has signed up for the pilot episode of a Steven Spielberg production set after aliens have wiped out most of the human race.
Wyle will play the leader of a ragtag group of soldiers and civilians who are fighting back against the occupying force.
Not the most groundbreaking plot, then. Not after Battlestar Galactica, V and Terminator.
Spielberg was involved in ER, and said: "It is a privilege to be starting a second series with Noah. The first didn't do too badly."
Expect it to screen on satellite channel TNT here in the UK
