Night of the Lepus - the worst cult sci-fi movie ever made

By Paul Cole on Apr 24, 09 08:00 AM

I remember watching Night Of the Lepus at a sci-fi convention at Coventry's De Vere Hotel many years ago - and I've been trying to forget it.

But Dan Smith's post about Troll 2 brought the memories flooding back.

Janet Leigh (yes, THE Janet Leigh) starred in the 1972 tale of America threatened by giant mutant killer rabbits.

Because they couldn't stretch to special effects, they used fluffy bunnies on miniature airfields and a drive-in cinema.

The disinterested rabbits would just shuffle about and nudge the model planes with their noses - scary stuff, eh!

I warned you ...

Where else will you hear the immortal words:

"Attention! Attention! Ladies and gentlemen, attention!

"There is a herd of killer rabbits head this way.

"And we desperately need your help ...."
