I love Lost... so much so that if they turned it into a musical for a week I would still watch it.
For me Series 1 was exciting, ground-breaking and a sheer joy. It was Series 2 and 3 though that introduced real intrigue, depth and mystery.
I have fond memories of watching Lost at that time, and as much I still adore it in such a geeky way - they were the real high times for the show.
Which is why I really liked this video... who can forget that season opener from the hatch? How perfect was the choice of song!?
THE claws are out. Everybody's favourite adamantium action man is back.
X Men Origins : Wolverine opened today at cinemas across the Midlands.
And word is that it's the perfect prequel, defying all expectation.
The hot news is that the Anorak City crew has got its hands on some super movie merchandise.
And we're GIVING IT AWAY.

As I was looking around for footage of the classic 1920s' movie of The Lost World for the Weird Science blog (check it out), I stumbled across a trailer for the magnificent-sounding Dinosaurus! from 1960.
Now it's easy to be unkind to special effects from yesteryear (I'm sure our grandchildren will have a hearty laugh at some of the god-awful CGI of today) but what struck me was how little progress had been made in those 40 years.
This Sunday's episode 'The Variable' is the 100th outing for Lost.
Here are photos from the cast and crew's party - with a special cake.
But does it contain any new clues?

I remember watching Night Of the Lepus at a sci-fi convention at Coventry's De Vere Hotel many years ago - and I've been trying to forget it.
But Dan Smith's post about Troll 2 brought the memories flooding back.
Janet Leigh (yes, THE Janet Leigh) starred in the 1972 tale of America threatened by giant mutant killer rabbits.
Because they couldn't stretch to special effects, they used fluffy bunnies on miniature airfields and a drive-in cinema.
The disinterested rabbits would just shuffle about and nudge the model planes with their noses - scary stuff, eh!

The new series of Torchwood promises to be explosive.
That's the verdict from John Barrowman, better known as Captain Jack.
"The new Torchwood story drags up a lot of people's secrets, and we all like
to see that, don't we?" he teases.
"It¹s the kind of story that, once you start watching it, you will be hooked.
"Even if you've never seen Torchwood before, you¹re going to fall for these characters, and you¹re going to go with them on an amazing journey that will be the biggest rollercoaster ride of their lives."
Catch the full interview in the latest edition of the official Torchwood magazine, which is on sale now.
In one epic story told over five nights the new series, to be broadcast for the first time on BBC One later this year, promises to be Torchwood's greatest adrenalin-fuelled, high octane adventure yet.
Torchwood: Children of Earth re-joins Captain Jack (John Barrowman), Gwen Cooper (Eve Myles) and Ianto Jones (Gareth David-Lloyd) who are still coming to terms with the death of two of their closest friends.
Despite their pain, they have a job to do.
This time they are faced with their fiercest threat to date - one which throws the future of Torchwood and the entire human race spiralling into danger.
They battle against the odds but do they stand a chance of saving mankind?

Take a look and bask in the glory of the worst actors, special effects and story ever enshrined in film.
Definitely not one to watch solo, but grab a few friends and beers and put it on - I can guarantee a crazy ride!
Doctor Who has been declared the winner of a poll conducted by Totalscifionline.com to find the best sci-fi TV theme tune of all time.
Red Dwarf came in second place, while The X-Files rounded out the top three.
The original Doctor Who theme was composed by Australian composer Ron
Grainer in 1963 and arranged by Delia Derbyshire.
Derbyshire produced the iconic theme tune by combining a tape loop of a struck piano string with the sound of test oscillators and filters.
The theme tune has been reworked a number of times over the years, with the current version arranged by Murray Gold.
Matt McAllister, Editor of Totalscifionline.com says: "In addition to being one of the most popular science fiction shows ever created, Doctor Who also boasts the most iconic sci-fi theme tune.
"Grainer and Derbyshire¹s theme manages to convey the outlandish quality of the show and is instantly recognisable to fans throughout the world just by its opening bars."

Joss Whedon fans (and there are plenty of them) should know Sci-Fi starts showing the Buffy and Firefly writer-director's new series - Dollhouse - next month.
Having managed to get a sneek preview of the series, I'd say it's definitely worth a watch.
If you haven't caught the excellent Lost Initiative yet it is well worth a viewing...
It can be slightly annoying at time but on the whole there is some good lively discussion on the latest Lost episode.
