September 2008 Archives
Davros, Chief Kaled scientist, creator of the Daleks, fugitive of the Time War and arguably the most evil creature in the whole universe, has been spotted in Britain.
He's the latest inhabitant of the excellent Doctor Who Exhibition at Earls Court Exhibition Centre in London.
The exhibition, which has been visited by more than 180,000 people since April, is the galaxy's largest collection of props, costumes and monsters from the series.
Concentrating on the Eccleston and Tennant era, it includes adversaries old and new, from Daleks and Cybermen to Slitheen and Ood.
Many of the exhibits - the Vashta Nerada, the Hath, the Sontarans and now Davros - have never appeared before and are unique to the show.
The extended Doctor Who Exhibition runs until November 9, 2008.

Heroes returns to BBC TV on Wednesday - and the new series will be full of big surprises.
1. We'll get to learn the terrible truth about Sylar's secret past.
2. We'll see the return of characters we thought we'd never see again.
3. There'll be a Justice League-style battle between good and evil.
4. We'll get to meet as many as a dozen new super-powered people.
Don't want to spoil the surprise? Then don't read any further.
But if you can't resist ... turn the page.
If you're taking part in the Dharma Initiative testing programme, there's a new poser online.
Test 6 is a multiple choice general knowledge challenge, with 10 questions to answer.
Head for the Dharma Initiative website but hurry - the tests close on October 7.
If you're new to the tests, there's still time to register for free and try all six challenges.
Namaste, and good luck, brother ...
Prison Break producers are building up to a stunning finale - and it could spell the death of Michael Schofield.
As season four's twists and turns come thick and fast, we've already seen Schofield suffering violent headaches and nose bleeds.
And we can reveal that, by the time we reach Episode 10, he'll be rushed into hospital.
Michael will undergo medical tests to see if he has a brain tumour, and leaks coming out of the studio suggest that the news won't be good.
To make matters worse, it'll be left to Sara Tancredi to break the shattering news to the ex-con she hoped to spend the rest of her life with.
When the medics call, Michael's nowhere to be found, and Sara has to decide whether to tell him or not.
It may be that his medical problems are rooted in his past. His mother died of cancer, and he suffered badly at the hands of his abusive alcoholic foster father.
We'll also discover just why he's so good at planning things, and why he has an almost photographic memory.
In other Prison Break news, get ready for the return of evil Gretchen, who's about to escape from the Company's clutches and hide out with her family.
She'll eventually join the A-Team, bringing T-Bag along for the ride, after they both get offered a full pardon in return for their services.
The new season of Prison Break is with us - and makes a break for it.
From formula, that is.
Now the guys have been freed and recruited by a shadowy spymaster to bring down The Company.
The ex-cons are racing round in a black van, cracking computer codes and making complex plans.
Keeping one step ahead of both the law and the bad guys.
Sounds familiar?
Yes, even Wentworth Miller has dubbed his motley crew 'the A-Team'.
So here's the heavyweight championship - Prison Break vs the A-Team.
Read on for the verdict ...
David Tennant may be grabbing the headlines as Hamlet - but there's more to the RSC production than meets the eye.
In fact, it's a Dr Who's Who of characters from Britain's favourite sci-fi show.
Joining Tennant at the Courtyard Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon are no fewer than three other characters who have crossed the Time Lord's path before.
Tomorrow night's the night Michael Schofield finally loses the tattoos.
He'll be seen having them lasered off in just ONE session.
And that's more implausible than the return of Sara Tancredi, now reunited with her head.
Just ask Kate Lawler, who's been blogging about having one tiny tattoo removed.
Hurts like hell and takes months ....
In the last series, of course, actor Wentworth Miller kept his shirt on despite the Sona sun.
That was because he didn't fancy all those hours of make-up each morning.
So season four says goodbye to the Fox River route map once and for all.
What's new, apart from the return of the doc, and the new characters I told you about weeks ago?
Well, Michael and Lincoln have decided to stop running and take the war to the Company.
And that means they'll need an army of (guess who) old pals fron Sona.
Set your Sky+ or video. Season 4 starts at 9pm on Tuesday September 2 with a double-episode on Sky 1.
