I was forwarded the below videos which throw up a possible theory as to why England miserably flopped in South Africa.

While working for Irish television, Graeme Souness suggests that Fabio Capello and his backroom team may have got their approach to altitude training terribly wrong and draws on his own experiences during Mexico 86.

Interesting stuff.....

Birmingham City's decision to show Christian Benitez the exit door is sure to have been met with a tear or two from some Bluenoses who had a soft spot for their Chucho.

And this gushy video tribute to the Ecuadorian that I stumbled across on youtube is another chance for those emotional few to cherish the memory of their favourite South American.

Chucho-lovers (or even haters), be sure to leave your tributes to the striker's season-long spell at St Andrew's below.

About three weeks ago, I was down at West Bromwich Albion's training ground when I heard Chris Brunt being asked if he fancied having a go at Soccer AM's Bullseye Challenge.

For those who don't know, the Sky Sports show's weekly challenge pits two professionals from the same club against each with the winner being the one who hits the bullseye on a darts board in the least amount of throws.

Brunt didn't seem keen at the time, insisting that he wasn't very good at darts. Perhaps it was because he was told that he'd be facing club captain Scott Carson, a self-confessed sharp-shooter with the arrows.

Well as it turned out, it didn't matter who Brunt was up against:

Ahead of this Sunday's Second City Derby at Villa Park, here's a video profile on the Villa-Blues battle starring myself.

It was put together by Danish TV journalist, Jonas Schwartz, working on behalf of the Carlsberg-backed website http://www.partofthegame.tv.

Jonas had profiled several of the world's biggest footballing derbies and this was the moment he turned the spotlight on the Battle of Brum.

Enjoy.....

The continued success of the region's football teams this season has given us plenty to talk about during our weekly online video shows.

So whether you're a Wembley-bound Villan, a Premier League-bound Baggie or a top ten-bound Bluenose, there's something to keep you all entertained below.

This week's Villa View looks ahead to Martin O'Neill's side's second trip to Wembley and includes an interview with the hero at the Reebok, Ashley Young.

Albion are tantalisingly close to an immediate return to the Premier League promised land and in this week's Baggies View we hear Roberto Di Matteo's call for focus while Chris Lepkowski discusses the potential for post-promotion public celebrations.

Silverware may be out of the question, but Bluenoses won't care as their team continue to upset the Premier League's big-boys. In this week's Blues View we hear off Alex McLeish and unlikely goal--scoring hero Liam Ridgewell, while Colin Tattum talks kits.

For those of you that didn't already know, we run weekly internet sports shows focusing on Birmingham City, Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion on www.birminghammail.net

A few technical hitches have affected the service in recent weeks, but we're due to be up-and-running as normal this week.

And, as ever, the shows wouldn't be the same without YOUR input and questions, no matter who your allegiances lie with.

All three are presented by myself, while Blues View features expert analysis from Colin Tattum, Mat Kendrick gives his thoughts in Villa View and Chris Lepkowski talks all things Albion in Baggies View, not to mention that all feature a range of soundbites and video interviews from managers and top players.

So be sure to send us your thoughts to be featured in whatever view floats your boat.
